Summary
Currently Associate Professor at the Natural Sciences Department, Director of the Earth Sciences Program Council (from 2020) and Director of Natural Disasters and Risks Laboratory (from 2009), member of the Faculty Council at the Undergraduate School (from 2012), School of Distance, Online and Continuing Education (from 2010) and NBU Library Council (from 2020). As an assistant professor she joined the Department in 2008 and in 2015 she was promoted to Associate Professor. She served as Head of Natural Sciences Department (2013 - 2020), Head of Earth and Environmental Sciences Department (2012 - 2013), Director of Master programs (2005 - 2012) and was member of the Academic Council (2012 - 2015).
She has graduated from the New Bulgarian University - Bachelor Degree in Ecology (2000 - 2004), Master Degree in International Tourism with specialization in Alternative Tourism (2004 - 2005), PhD of NBU in natural disasters and prevention (2005 - 2008) and in 2009 also received PhD Degree from Space Research Institute of Bulgaria Academy of Sciеnces.
Her research interests are in the field of environmental management and ecotourism, natural disasters and risks.
Author of more than 90 scientific publications and academic articles, more than 80 participation in scientific conferences, member of the team of nationally and university funded projects, editor-in-chief of the academic journal “Annual of Natural Sciences Department”.
