Summary

Senior Assistant Professor Hristo Chukurliev is a member of the Pedagogy Section at the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Cultures of NBU. His interests lie in several areas: management models and their application in various social and individual activities; digital technologies, processes of digitization and transformation; history of civilizations and religions in the context of the evolution/revolutions of models for understanding and managing processes. In the aspect of higher education, he is interested in the transformation of teaching forms and methods and their connection with the professions of the future.

Since 2018, he has been the Director of the Central University Administration of NBU. From 2010 to 2018, he was the Director of the Faculty of Distance, Electronic and Continuing Education. He has been working at NBU since 2002 as the Director of the Master's Faculty. Member of the Board of Trustees of NBU since 04.06.2016. He defended his doctoral dissertation in September 2018, and since March 1, 2019 he has been a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Distance, Electronic and Advanced Learning.

Together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ventsislav Dzhambazov since 2008, he has been implementing a unified e-learning system at NBU, improving the e-learning platform MOODLE, and training teachers in its use. From 2010 to 2014, he implemented a model for managing the DFE, which functions with minor changes to this day.

He completed his secondary education at the National High School for Ancient Languages ​​and Cultures "St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher", and his higher education at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with a master's degree in "Bulgarian Philology". His doctoral degree is in the professional field: 3.7. Administration and Management and is on the topic "Management of distance learning in higher education: forms, trends and perspectives".
