Summary

- Multimodal interaction person-machine: This research line aims to study and develop artificial intelligence methods and techniques that facilitate and make human-machine interaction more natural. In this regard, if the machine has information similar to what humans can extract when communicating with each other, such as identifying the person, their gender, or mood, the interaction will be more natural. To achieve this, multimodal information such as images, video, audio, or text will be utilized, as these are the channels of information commonly used by people.
- Biometry: People detection, facial analysis, identity recognition, gender and age classification
- Field and service robotics: Design and development of autonomous robotic vehicles for data gathering and environmental surveillance. Field robotics.
- Route planning for autonomous vehicles: Optimal path planning for surface (autonomous sailboats) and underwater (gliders) marine robotic vehicles
