Summary

The research group Memory and Uses of the Past (MUP) studies how people use the past in different social, temporal, and spatial contexts for various purposes. We examine how people create connections between the past, present, and future. We are interested in people's memory work and how they intertwine their personal life stories within different memory communities. We explore the processes that determine what is remembered and forgotten, and the power implications of these processes. We contribute to theory development within the multidisciplinary research field and work across time and space.
