- Effluent treatment for reuse or minimization of discharges: In this line of research, the effluents from different plants will be studied, in order to investigate the processes to be applied in order to reuse the effluent discharge or to minimize the impact produced by the discharges in the environment.
- Energy potential assessment and mitigation of greenhouse gases emission: Analysis of energy potential, circular economy, applicability of low-carbon energy and GHG emission mitigation in facilities and processes in the water-energy-waste nexus.
