Summary

- Internet of things, networks, sensors and monitoring: The aim of this research line is the design and implementation of sensor networks protocols and communications links including:
- New technologies applied to tourism and sustainability: The aim of this research line, co-advised by Dr. Lidia Aguiar, is to stablish the possible impact of emerging technologies over the management, design and leisure over hotels and touristic facilities. It also deals with the development and improvement of smartcity and smartbuilding networks and the introduction of new applications based on these networks. - New network architectures for smartcities - Information and Communication Systems for the preservation and presentation of cultural goods - New applications and solutions for smartcities and smartbuildings
- Digital Sustainable Heritage and Archeology: In this line an interdisciplinary work is proposed for carrying out erections of buildings, singular objects, and cultural goods, with patrimonial value, using 3D image systems. In this way, it will be possible to carry out studies on these goods without having to intervene directly on them. This procedure allows not only a lower cost but also better conservation of them. The field of work will be mainly that of the architectural, urbanistic and archaeological goods.
